WHEREAS
1. OpenVAS is a significant Free Software project. (OpenVAS is the
Open Source fork of Nessus.)
2. The OpenVAS developers would like SPI's support and assistance,
including DNS hosting and registration and possibly other services
including taking donations, to be decided later by OpenVAS.
3. OpenVAS have resolved the problems that previously caused them to
be uncontactable and which led SPI to drop OpenVAS as an associated
Project.
THE SPI BOARD RESOLVES THAT
4. OpenVAS is formally invited to once more become an SPI Associated
Project, according to the SPI Framework for Associated Projects,
SPI Resolution 1998-11-16.iwj.1-amended-2004-08-10.iwj.1, a copy of
which can be found at
lists.spi-inc.org/pipermail/spi-announce/2004/000091.html
5. Currently, Tim Brown <timb(at)nth-dimension(dot)org(dot)uk>, Sean Baumann
and Robert Berkowitz <robert(dot)berkowitz(at)gmail(dot)com> are
recognised by SPI as the authorititive decisionmakers for OpenVAS
according to the OpenVAS constitution which can currently be found
at http://www.openvas.org/constitution.html.
6. This invitation will lapse, if not accepted in writing, 60 days
after it is approved by the SPI Board.
