I believe you have violated a trust by making private e-mail public in
this fashion. As this only reduces my trust in you, I will address your
question anyway.

Have you never read "Teaching as a subversive act"?

>From your style of debate I know you understand the principle of
subverting your opponents postion to make it look other than justified.

The very act of trying to convince another that your position is correct,
is one of subverting their beliefs to support your position.

So, the answer is "Yes, I aim to do subversive things with SPI. It is in
our charter to educate.". If you must see something sinister in that, then
I suggest you seek professional help.

Luck,

Aehm. Am I right to conclude from this statement that you are aiming to
do subversive things within SPI?

spi-general is more "private" than the forum where you made that comment.

I am not interested in hair splitting. As an official of the SPI project
are you working to further the aims of its constituents or are you trying
something quote "subversive"? The way you argue is destructive. You do not
want to build consensus but divide the project? I remember similar
incidences on the Debian BOD on which we both served. I dont want that to
happen to SPI.

Please explain to us how your "anarchy" is compatible with being an
official of SPI. Are you willing to abide by the constitution and
follow the rules and do you intend to work for the best of the Project?

http://www.spi-inc.org/mailing_lists/general-1999/thread.html

The debian-private equivalent is stored on master, and not mirrored afaik.

(On the other hand, the above URL doesn't seem to be entirely up to date)

spi-private(at)lists(dot)spi-inc(dot)org would probably have been a more suitable
place to move this too, but even then probably only with Dale's assent
beforehand.

FWIW, I think SPI's and Debian's goals *are* essentially anarchic and
subversive, and I more or less agree with Dale's position, even if I'd
probably choose to make his points differently. YMM, of course, V.

Cheers,
aj

I don't speak for anyone save myself. PGP encrypted mail preferred.

It's archived once a day at 2amish Master Cron time...
